Kidamento - Through My Lens Book

Now, photography-curious children everywhere can feed their inquisitive nature and expand their knowledge through the one-of-a-kind activity book called, Through My Lens.

Created with ages 4-9 in mind, this book caters to children around the world who want to do more than capture memories with a camera. It’s for those who desire to learn valuable skills, enjoy a challenge, and wish to be a part of something special. This book works in tandem with any one of the Kidamento cameras and will challenge any budding photographer. Not only will it teach them to develop their creative side, but it will also help to teach them about commitment and dedication, and upon completion, they will earn the rewards of their hard work. 

Within this unique camera book companion, children will strengthen their photography and other skills through play. Activities will focus on developing a blend of six skills, from cognitive and creative, emotional and physical, to their social and communicative abilities. 

For example, one activity, A Look into the Past will have them working on strengthening their creative and communication skills by asking, and recording, through pictures, about the past of others. This is a great bonding activity and one that will teach them about the importance of family moments. Another activity, Visual Recipe, will have them expand on their creative and cognitive capabilities by having them capture the steps of a recipe, visually. This is a great shared family activity as the kitchen is the hub of any house, and cooking brings families together where recipes are often passed down from generation to generation.

Each activity is hidden under a flap. Each flap has suggestive icons that hint at what each task is, from what skills it promotes to how long the activity will take to any supplies they will need. The child will first guess and then peel the flap to reveal their challenge. While no order is required, they cannot move forward until the activity is finished and they have documented their journey with pictures. Each activity will bring them one step closer to earning their hard copy of a Certificate of Graduation. It is only through their perseverance and dedication that they will join an elite group of other children who have earned this certificate.
